Glauchau- firefighters got new engine

Today our firefighters proudly presented their new engine- a turntable fire-escape.

In front of the city hall there were shown all four (also historical) turntable fire-escapes. A lot of citizens took a look at the engines.
It was the official handover to the firefighters-celebrated by the Lord Mayor Dr. Peter Dresler.

    Ja, das ist ja sehr nett um Glauchau sicherer zu machen. Man koennte aber hoffen, das es nie gebraucht wird!

    thank you for the picture. We in Forest, just outside the Lynchburg
    city limits are working to raise money for a new firehouse and a ladder
    truck.
    We would very much like to have one similar to the one Glauchau obtained.
